Getting her start in physical production in Atlanta, Ashley has worked on studio projects like Uglies (Netflix), Harold and the Purple Crayon (Sony), & SWARM (Amazon). She holds a BA in Theatre and an MFA in Film Production from Florida State University.

Ashley would describe herself as an introvert with a deep obsession for understanding exactly how humans work. From an early age, growing up in Alabama, she grew her world through stories, developing a wide range of interests from books and films from around the world. Today, with a slate that spans languages and genres with little connective tissue at first glance, for Ashley, they each share a common thread - they make her feel what it means to be a human in this world.

August Belle blends her grandmothers’ names as an homage to her southern beginnings. The company, started by Ashley in 2022 is dedicated to building sustainability within the craft of independent cinema by producing original films by emerging creators. She completed her first feature documentary in 2024 and her first feature, Tom Meyers' The Toast, completed principal photography in August 2024.
