Director Biography - Lucie Gillespie

Co-Founder of Lunar Flame Pictures, Lucie Gillespie has a certificate in Film Production from theMotion Picture Institute. She currently serves as Production Manager of Lunar Flame Pictures, LLC where she has successfuly produced award-winning short films as well as a variety of promotional work in the last few years.

In 2014 her graduate feature screenplay, The Other Side of the Coin, won the Best Feature Screenplay Award at the MPI Film Festival that year. She has since co-written the feature script, Sister's Wrath, and the short film,“The Girl on the Mat,” with NuWave Films.

Her writing credits have seen awards in the same week when “TheGirlontheMat” took home the “Audience Choice Award” at the Royal Starr Film Festival and “Akoma” took home the grand prize at the Click-on-Detroit Film Challenge. It is her ability to create strong female characters that has given her a unique voice within the Detroit film community.
