Asheboro Female Academy
The Asheboro Female Academy was established in 1839 to be the region’s first school for women. North Carolina actor Elizabeth Lail provides a journey back in time to showcase the history of the Academy, and its renovation to become a historic classroom for today’s students.

Cody Bergland has worked in film for more than twelve years, producing commercials, short films, and assisting in various projects worldwide. He found his film calling in 2006 after serving his time in the military when a stroke of good luck provided the opportunity for him to produce gaming media content for both Microsoft and the Smithsonian. Cody is an alumnus of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Media Studies Program, earning his degree in 2017 at the age of 34. Skilled as a director and producer, Cody continues to freelance, while working with the United States Airforce to produce training films for new pilots.
