Director Biography - Vitoria Tan

Grief is hard and it hurts. It hurts being left with a million questions without an answer.
Ash started from the pain of dealing with all these heavy emotions I felt losing someone I cared so deeply for so suddenly. It is hard to regain your footing when you are drowning in pain. No one is truly alone in this process and time allows the journey to become easier.
Although grief follows you around, it does not have to be constrained to being painful and sad. Sometimes, it can be happy even. Over time, I learned that remembering who they were and holding these memories close to heart is often more than enough.
With this in mind, the film aims to convey the message that there is no need to force answers on things we have no control over.
