I was educated in the Danish National Filmschool, and won the Robert for best short with our graduation film, "My Brother Karim", about two brothers coming to Denmark as refugee children. I have since enjoyed a very varied worklife, made short films with underserved 10th grade students in Copenhagen, constructed safety measures on highrises under construction, some factory line production, container emptying, live interpretation for deaf students and subtitle production for Danish Radio on live television, while I have written a book about the opioid epidemic in the US and its political implications for democracies. In such, I have been filled with a unique variation of life experiences, which I want to utilize in order to share in broad reaching storytelling with a hand on the pulse of our society.
