Aseel Khalifa (b.1997) is a visual artist and an animation
filmmaker based in Sana'a, Yemen.
She holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the College of
Commerce and Economics at Sana'a University. She works at an
animator, graphic designer, cultural activist, and she is interested in
promoting mental health. Her expertise includes directing, animation
production, screenwriting, and drawing.
She directed her first animated short film as students project , "Pottery," in 2021, The film
was showcased at the Abwab Festival held in 2023.
In 2023, she directed her first film, titled "Bara'a
She currently works at Afq Foundation, a private institution that
produces cartoon series. and also freelances on various projects
