Artist's soul

The film is dedicated to memory of the great Ukrainian painter Borys Nehoda. Video demonstrated his uniqual art technic and famous paintings, which Artist painted in 2005. Last meeting with authors of the project was in January 2020. After Negoda's death this poem about him was writen. Later we made this film to show genius art heritage to the word.

Director Biography - Dmytro Hlukhenkyi

DMYTRO HLUKHENKYI (FILM CAMERAMAN)
I'm Ukrainian, have 38 years, live in Kiev (Ukraine). I'm married and have 3 children. I 've finished Karpenko-Karyi's Kyiv National University of Theater, Film and Television. My specialty is "film cameraman". I worked in different ukrainian TV-channels, participated in various television and film projects.
I've created a number of documentary films-"Game of the Mountains", "Laura's Dream", "Didukh", "The Nation's Birth", «The Laguage», «Laguns. The buttle for paradise» (cameraman), «The singing home», «Alive melodies of village», «Silence. Camera. We» etc.
Some films were awarded at international film festivals ("GoEast", Germany, «Della-Lesina», Italy, Odessa International Film Festival). During Euromaidan and now in Donbass I cooperate with documentary project "DOKUTOLOKA", The Folk Philharmony's volunteers and artists, create films about heroic ukrainian soldiers and escapees from Crimea and Donbass. They are:"100 fighters", "Combat Marusya", "Easter basket for soldiers" and so on.

Director Statement

Some year I lived in Kamianets-Podilskyi, very nice town in the West of Ukraine. There I have opportunity to be met with great artist Borys Nehoda. His works are national treasure of Ukraine. So it was important to me make a film "Artist's Soul".
Ruslana Lotsman wrote the poem about Borys Nehoda:
‘’Artist’s Soul’’
The artist's soul flew away to sky
And she will draw a picture with high heavens.
The soul without body doesn’t want to cry -
She is alive and will not die forever…
The art is eternal, like our space,
But we are here now and then we go...
We come to live, we want to find good ways.
But after summer gardens welcome snow.
Oh, how many winters will be come,
New painters will bring us new сreations.
The artist’s soul is living like a shine...
She helps the world and serves her own nation.
