Director Statement

"A Fading Canvas" was inspired by the peers who surround my life. All throughout my childhood the people around me all had their own passions. I attend an art high school in which we have to stay at for longer hours doing our arts. Many of us have really lost our passions since coming to an art school after doing it for so long. We lose a part of our love for our passion. Yet, even though we get hit with these obstacles, because we genuinely love it so much we simply can not just completely abandon it. "A Fading Canvas" shows the story of a teenage girl who loses her passion of painting when her grandma dies. I wanted this film to be relatable to any artist out there who is struggling to be passionate about what they love. I want this film to be a source of comfort and reassurance of losing your passion.
