The third edition of ArteSettima Shorts, organized by one of the most important young film magazines of Italy, with 1million web impression and millions of social views, continues a yearly event of international emerging short cinema with 500$ of Prize Pool and a huge spotlight on Artesettima website and social media.
ArteSettima is a magazine with more than 60.000 readers monthly also active on social media with 1.6 Million likes / 44k Followers on TikTok and 41k Followers on Instagram. ArteSettima explores the way cinema connects everybody through multiple languages, never being elitist. Through this art, you can experience philosophy, literature, painting, sciences even without being a direct expert of those.
The magazine has partnered in various projects with multiple important cinema & culture realities like Streaming Platform MUBI, International Museum MUDEC, Shorts Streaming Network We-Short and GOETHE Institut.
The main goal is to discover and give deserved awards to hidden gems of the contemporary new wave of cinema. With only one category and multiple awards we want to give absolute freedom to filmmakers worldwide.
Our Editorial Board will go through all the submissions for the first selection. The best 15 short films will be selected for projection in the wonderful location "ANGELO MAI", in the historical centre of Rome, close to Colosseum, Circo Massimo and Terme di Caracalla.
Our Expert Jury, formed by MATTEO ZOPPIS & ALESSIO RIGO DE RIGHI (King Crab), CIRO DE CARO (Spaghetti Story, Acqua di Marzo, Giulia), ROBERTO RECCHIONI (Dylan Dog, Orfani, John Doe), GIANNI AURELI (Aquile Randagie) and GAJA MASCIALE (Sul più bello) will then decide the main prize winner.
Each of the 15 finalists will also have articles written by our magazine and released on our website and social media (@artesettima and artesettima.it)
One of our sponsors WeShort, an on-demand short film platform, will give an award to their favourite. This one will have free distribution on their network.
The editorial board will also give an award.
The festival will have wonderful live finals with International Guests and Talks with Directors and Cast of selected shorts. Additional Sponsors and collateral events will be announced later on.

Response from festival:
Hi Giuseppe and Penelope,
It was a great pleasure to host your work at the Artesettima Festival. For Artesettima, every Director and Crew/Cast Member is part of the family of the Festival and as you say, it's very important for us to make everybody feel at the center. We love to see directors watching each others work and networking. Even directors unable to attend could get in touch with others and that is the most important thing for us: being a way not only to give awards but to create a generation of directors.
Thanks a lot,
