Director Biography - Nishanth A

Nishanth A is a screenwriter and filmmaker who has made short films, sketches, and corporate films. His last short "Latent" was screened as part of the Le Fyccion Film Festival. "Artefacts" is his fourth directorial.

Director Statement

"Artefacts" is a personal piece that was born out of the need to move out of my parent's house and live independently. It represents all the analysis, evaluation, and overthinking I did when I was considering the possibility. The guilt of leaving my mother alone while also feeling shackled is what I hoped to portray in the short film. The conversation that runs throughout the film is what I spoke about with myself during this phase. I do not know how it will be received but the main motive of the film was to express these feelings.
