Art Strike

1976-2016. 40 years of Art Strike.
At the end of 1976 the artist Galeazzo Nardini, strongly taking a stand against the exploitation of artists and art censorship, conceives the idea of "Art Strike".
Following this decision, Galeazzo renounces the sale of his works, which however do not preclude production. In fact, the artist continues to produce hundreds and hundreds of works "in secret" on every possible surface, from classic painting canvases to cartoons, notebooks, newspapers, napkins, rolls of tissue paper, and more. He continues to compose, write, paint, and draw, the related statements of STRIKE, in the style and forms in which his sensitivity and pictorial talent are expressed.
Galeazzo Nardini's artistic strike continues uninterruptedly until the end of his life.
Through the eyes of his daughter, the actress Hélène Nardini, the ideal leitmotif of the story, involved from an early age in her father's artistic life, this film documentary aims to retrace the fundamental stages of Galeazzo's path and try to understand the controversial choices that have influenced its existence, effectively making it a brilliant performance lasted forty years.
