If you’re reading this, I’m already dead. The full investigation is ongoing, but here’s what we do know.

My love of finding story, by both deliberate and often unexpected means, has been a driver of all the work I’ve made as a filmmaker in my 40 + year career.

Throughout that time, I believe I’ve worked best when taking risks. To learn more. To teach better. To trust the process. Trained as a fine artist, my approach to filmmaking mirrors my practice as a visual artist, extracting clarity from chance and chaos.

“Art Guard” is my first comedy short. Given the joy I felt making it, particularly with family and friends, I’m certain it won’t be my last.
And, sure, reports of my death may be, at best, a bit hasty. The good news is I’ve never felt better.
