The Art Films Factory is a multi-purpose Art & Film Space based in Dubai Design District. Conceptualized and brought to you by Mohamad Badr in partnership with D3 with the sole purpose of providing indie filmmakers and conceptual artists with a creative space to share their work and celebrate the magic of films and art.

The Art Films Factory will host a diversified program of long format and short films from Award-winning filmmakers, Photography Installation and Paintings from renowned regional artists.

Rules & Terms

All shortlisted entries will be promoted on @ArFilmsFactory social media channels and website with a dedicated page with the film synopsis, film stills, and trailer.

All films should be submitted through FilmFreeway, including film screenshots, posters, and trailers.

General Rules

1. Art Films Factory can use parts of your film for promotional reasons.
2. All rights to the film are owned by the filmmaker.
3. Submitted films are made after 2010
4. Films should be submitted as Digital Cinema Package (DCP) or video file (.mov or .mp4) with good production standard (Sound, subtitles, resolution 720p HD and above)
5. Films must include English subtitles (unless the spoken language is English)
6. Selected Films will be reviewed and chosen based on the following criteria:
Genres: Art, Experimental, Fashion
Quality: Production & Narrative
Indie: Independent Nature of the films
7. All Submissions are free of charge.
8. No Film will be accepted post 27th of February.
9. Submitted films should not exceed 55 minutes
