Director Biography - Álex Gassent

Born and raised in Madrid, I started getting intro storytelling at the age of 12, when I dreamed about being a novelist. After a few years and many failed novels, I got to the world of filmmaking when I was 17, and I fell in love with it. I then became a self thought filmmaker for a few years, filming a few low cost shorts from 2019-2020
Nowadays, I'm getting my bachelor's degree in Film, TV and Media Studies at the Carlos III University in Madrid and keep on filmmaking, trying always to tell the best story possible in the best way there is.
Previous Work:

- Antítesis (2019)
- Dumitrescu (2019)
- Caminos por andar (2020)

Director Statement

"ARSEMIA (or a sorry about love)" is my first actual professional-like work, a piece that talks about the necessity of letting go, of fearing the future and the dilemma of dealing with the inevitable. It is a film that was conceived and created with an amusing love from all the crew and we are completely grateful to share our work with the world.
