IMPORTANT NOTICE: DUE TO THE CURRENT SITUATION IN BEIRUT THE ACTIVITIES OF THE ARMENIAN FILM FESTIVAL IN BEIRUT ARE ON HOLD UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

The Armenian Film Festival in Beirut is dedicated to Armenian cinema culture, it screens films from Armenia, or film directed or produced by Armenian filmmakers from the entire world, or films that covers stories about the Armenian people and topics.

The Golden Grenade award is offered in different categories:

Best Feature Fiction Film
Best Documentary Film
Best Short Film
Best Director
Best Screenplay
Best Actress and Actor
Special Award for Human Rights
Best Armenian Diaspora Film

Rules and Regulations:

1- FILMS PRODUCED AFTER JANUARY 1, 2020 ARE ELIGIBLE FOR SUBMISSION.

2- The festival supports travel of directors of selected films to participate in the festival screenings. (Conditions apply)

3- Filmmakers are invited to submit their original work to the Golden Grenade Armenian Film Festival in Beirut (GGAFF) for the listed categories and as per the assigned duration of each category.

4- Golden Grenade Armenian Film Festival in Beirut (GGAFF) holds the right to:
• Select the film that is qualified to be in the official selection of the festival
• Use the selected films for trailers and publicity usage
• Screen the winning films in other related events inside Lebanon, and recommend the winning films to other international film festivals that collaborate with GGAFF after the approval of the filmmakers.

5- Submission fees are non refundable and non reimbursable under any circumstances; GGAFF does not reimburse any submission fees for films who are not selected for the festival program, or who withdrew their submissions at any time.

6- GGAFF retains the right to accept or decline any film, for whatever reason, without any explanation.

7- Applicant admits that he/she is authorized to submit the film, being the rights-holder or authorized representative of the film.

8- GGAFF receives exhibition copy in QuickTime 1080p HD 8 bit uncompressed or Apple ProRes file or equivalent via a downloadable link.

9- All non-English speaking films must have adequate English subtitles.

10- Screening fees must be declared prior to or upon submission. If a screening fee is only indicated after the official selection has been announced, the Festival retains the right to revoke the film's acceptance.
