2019 marks the twelfth year of Arkansas Shorts - A Night of Short Film. Arkansas Shorts is an annual event showcasing short films in 3 categories: Those made by Natives and current residents of Arkansas; by North American Filmmakers; and by International filmmakers. Additionally, Arkansas Shorts is a showcase for the work produced in Low Key Arts' filmmaking workshop, Inception to Projection, during the prior year. These often include work by a wide variety of local filmmakers, ranging from teens to seniors. The venue for Hot Water Hills changes from year to year and has included locations such as the historic Malco Theater in downtown Hot Springs National Park.

Jury Selection Prize and an Audience Choice Award are presented every year. The trophies have traditionally been hand-carved wooden Super 8mm cameras.

I wasn't able to attend the screening unfortunately but Jen and Derek at Arkansas Shorts were both very warm and supportive and clear in their communication. And the venue looked great, too. Hopefully we'll screen there again, and I'll definitely go!
