Having been a collaborator in numerous performance art endeavors and wearing several "hats" and instruments in different bands over the years, I am now starting up my own solo music and performance art project. I am predominantly interested in the female gaze, the trip of motherhood, and the healing of womankind.
I’ve heard that when you endeavor to heal any aspect of yourself in this lifetime, you also heal seven generations in the past, and seven going forward. What are our bodies but clusters of history, thousands of years in the making… This video is an homage to my mother, to my matriarchal lineage, and to the archetype of the “bitter, raging woman”.
Lyrics:
The Holy Spirit, Father, Son
and jilted mother’s daughter
Mutilated innocence
Seduction of the slaughter
She turned and took the belt to you
with all the spite he gave her
And so you learned, you learned
to take the pain and feel it later
Mama, they fear you
Gaia, I hear you
And it goes on and on
the centuries of swallowed anger
And it goes on and on and on and on…
Mama, I see you
Bruja, I need you
