Director Statement

Inspired by my sister's time in an emergency dispatch centre, "Are You Still There" doubles as a tribute to the bravery and compassion of emergency responders. Simultaneously it seeks to remind us that in our most hopeless moments that not all is lost and that through the kindness of others we can see the light again. The film delves into the significant moments of connection that can transform our lives, highlighting the importance of empathy and emotional openness. I’m aiming to shed light on the emotional resilience required in this line of work as well as the powerful & unifying force of shared human experiences.
