Arbenin's Mask
Sergey, a stage director graduated at Moscow's GITIS, arrives in Chile to take part in a homage to the censored poet Mikhail Lermontov. He studies Lermontov's forbidden play "Masquerade" with the help of Russian amateurs, while a Chilean group of actors learn the same texts in Spanish. But is censorship really an issue from the past?

Born in 1982 in Kiev, Ukraine, in a Chilean-Russian family. He graduated as a fiction director at Cuban EICTV.
This project started as a theatrical experiment leading to a public presentation of the same fiction scenes performed in two different languages. But as the Russian and the Chilean group of actors came together, the process offered us unexpected insights into quite different ways of dealing with culture, sexuality and censorship.
