Aquela que serve

"Aquela que serve” is a video report developed by Carol Diógenes and Gabriel Heitor Alves (both journalism students) that shows the role of a "Doula" (birth assistant) and her relationship with childbirth. The video report also tells the ways taken behind the scenes until it was possible to film a childbirth, in order to understand the emotions experienced at that moment. "Aquela que serve” presents the sensitive side of the people involved so that the birth is successful and the difficulties found by two reporters along this project.

Director Biography - Gabriel Heitor Alves, Carol Diógenes

Gabriel Heitor Alves is a student of Journalism (Universidade Estadual da Paraíba, Campus I, Campina Grande-PB), videomaker, photographer, director, DOP, video editor and motion designer, based in Campina Grande-PB, Brazil. Works with cinema, journalism and marketing & advertising; worked with brands like Chilli Beans, Arezzo, Morana, SEBRAE and others.

Carol Diógenes is a student of Journalism (Universidade Estadual da Paraíba, Campus I, Campina Grande-PB), producer, photographer, actress and director of photography, based in Campina Grande-PB, Brazil. Also develops digital content on Instagram (@caroldiogesm) and currently works as a producer on a television program.
