A writer, actor, and director for stage and screen, Wyatt had a 2019 triple-play in the GTA, with fresh scripts at Scripted Toronto, InspiraTO, and the Newmarket New Play Festival.
His stories are inspired by past careers in emergency shelters, journalism, printing, and the service industry, and he looks to find and highlight our human similarities, especially where people are being excluded, marginalized, or dispossessed. He considers public readings to be a valuable resource in play development.
A novice film maker with several projects on his slate in various stages of production, his most recent production, Apple Pie, Ice Cream, is headed to the festival circuit. Wyatt also has features and a TV pilot he is all too happy to gab about and is directing two films for 2020-A Short Film Anthology.
An ACTRA member, Wyatt fantasizes about playing a certain Star Fleet captain’s brother.

Director Statement

Jamie Oxenham - I was looking for a new project. After a couple of months of passing script notes to Wyatt we settled on a version we both could live with. I'm a fan of film noir, but never got around to making one. Apple Pie, Ice Cream was perfect - a noir script with modern sensibilities.

Wyatt Lamoureux - I was lucky to have Jamie as lead director on Apple Pie, Ice Cream. He led me through the processes of set. lighting, and sound. My forte is directing actors, Jamie's is look and atmosphere, and we were able to work smoothly together on this project.
