Abdul Ahad Tanvir was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh on 26th February 1999. He spent his childhood in Ranavola, near the banks of the Turag river, and then in Basabo, Kadamtala. Since childhood he was driven by his natural curiosity to explore the world around him. He found walking to be favourite pastime because it allowed him to observe life closely and shape his worldview and philosophy. His keen observation was the inspiration for his creative pursuits, especially writing, which he started as a child to share his insights and reflections. He is currently working on writing a novel. The passion he has for filmmaking is also rooted in his unrelenting desire to capture and convey the essence of life. A documentary film named 'Batasher Phena (Applauding Wind)' is his first feature film. Another documentary film he produced and directed is ‘Shohojatra (Fellow Minds)’. He is currently working on some shorts and feature documentary films.
