Francis suffers from depression. He takes pills every day to keep the demons at bay. At some point in his life, he stopped trying altogether and went into complete isolation.

One day, he slips into an ideal dream world where there are no worries in sight. This results in a continuous cycle of escapism from reality to the dream world - back and forth.

Consequently, this is also the beginning of his descent into madness.

Director Biography

The topic of mental health and depression is a rather serious and heavy one, which a lot of times cause heads to turn away from the matter at hand. However, this year it's almost all we could think about having our days taken away from us with the unwavering grasp of Covid-19. Lots of us have turned to methods of escapism and deep reflection during these trying times and have gone into our own states of deteriorating mental health.
However, this film is not about Covid-19, but rather one about the journey of depression. We felt inspired by people around us, including our own personal experiences dealing with depression. Those who have lost friends, loved ones…those who have tried to end their lives and those bound by medication.
During this perilous journey through Covid-19, it felt like a good time to tackle this topic to make a piece of art that would feel close to home for those who need support the most, and to convey our message that humans need each other to survive.
