At first it existed mainly as an absence. An intermission along the horizon. Perhaps it was a beginning. Perhaps it was another finis terrae. And they longed there and they were afraid and not afraid at all and they knew that it was a tale, followed by an unreadable sentence, in turn followed by a period, further on, somewhere very far away.

Sebastian Eklund (born in Gothenburg, 1992) is a Swedish artist and filmmaker mainly working with video, photography and sound. Educated at Konstfack University of Arts; Eklund, whose work has often been associated with slow cinema movements, has been known to explore and focus on the obscure, the perishable and the absent.
