Another Side of Perfection

Bella, a high school girl with low self-esteem about her appearance, meets Kevin, a guy she met on a dating app. When Kevin sees Bella's face, he insults her for looking different from her heavily made-up and filtered profile picture. Bella and Kevin engage in an argument, and Kevin leaves her. Feeling ugly and yearning to be like her idol, Hilmira, Bella depletes her savings to visit the beauty clinic promoted by Hilmira. However, on her way to the clinic, she encounters Hilmira, who is actually physically impaired, teaching Bella the true meaning of perfection.

Director Statement

In the film "Another Side of Perfection," the director aims to address issues related to teenagers, women, beauty standards, and insecurities triggered by the glorification of social media. The film intends to uncover the 'mask' behind social media, which only portrays perfection, leading teenagers to compare themselves with the presented images.
