Gaetano Ghiura is a screenwriter-director, graduate from Birkbeck University and Met Film School in London, with experience working with production companies such as BBC and Tanino Fillms on a variety of different formats: political talk shows, documentary features, short films, advertisements, VR experiences, music videos, fashion films.

Director Statement

Another Hero is a hybrid between 2d black and white animation and a dark and gloomy live action.

The short film intends to dive into the imagination of a young teenager, who has created a homemade superhero mask for himself in order to be able to do what he cannot in his real life: act.

The animation represents the main character's distorted perception of the real world, but without the mask everything is exposed.
