Jungle Red

Carlota Lagido's last play serves as a starting point for a short film that follows the process of creating: what is the point? Where you can be and where you are going? What we leave behind and what we want to take into the future?
The film follows the creation of a contemporary dance play. Possible ways of working presuppositions that arise in the table, from a table to a stage and from any stage to a botanical garden or a wild place. We went to this place to figure out how to go to the stage; Lagido often talked of paradise nostalgia - "I close my eyes and i see a flock of birds”. This film is the beginning of a research on portuguese dance in the 90’s, in focus - Carlota do Canto Lagido (Lisbon, 1965).
