Director Statement

I never noticed how tenuous the nature of connection can be until I turned twenty. People began to change, leave and fall in love at dramatically different paces. It occurred to me that connection was no longer guaranteed, born out of convenience or shared history. Rather, it was something to be maintained or reconstructed. Amidst the vibrancy of emerging adulthood, therein lies grief and disconnection. I wanted to honour this isolation, but also acknowledge the irony: we feel alone, together.
