Angular Momentum
Angular Momentum explores the mysterious and powerful nature of infinitesimal energies within our quantum world by visually expressing their complex and beautiful interactions. This
series was inspired by the research and mathematics we were exposed to during our residency at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory.
At the center of this series, we created an interactive program that visualizes spherical standing waves. The program allows us to explore myriad ways to imagine these subatomic energies and how they might look at a slower pace, less than the speed of light and visible to the naked eye.
It is a simulation of the space and movements of energy particles allowing us to explore their potential interactions within a virtual environment. Each of the three spheres represent a set of particles within varying quantum states. Algorithms are applied to each sphere, transforming their surfaces into waveforms in a way that is enigmatic, colorful and filled with energy.
