Angela Rosales Challis, originally from Bolivia. She moved to the US to get her bachelors in Dance Education from Brigham Young University. At the BYU she received the following awards; Outstanding Graduating Senior, Outstanding Research, and Outstanding Choreography Award. She studied dance in Cuba at The National School of Art in Havana.
She was the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Dance Specialist at Jordan School district for many years. She received the Art Educator of the Year award in 2014 and the Sorenson Legacy Award for Excellence in Arts EducationĀ in 2015. She served as UDEO conference chair for many years.
Angela is now working on her MFA in Film and Media Arts and certification in Screendance at the University of Utah. She is teaching Film Production at the U. Her projects have been screened at the American Dance Festival, College Screendance Festival in Wyoming and Arizona, Utah Dance and Film Festival, and LDS festival. She is loving this new adventure!
