Angela Golden Bryan is a Caribbean American author, producer and actress who recognized her love for the Entertainment Industry as a child. She has over 20 years of experience in television, film, and theater and has worked and studied in the Caribbean, Southern Spain, Los Angeles, NYC, Atlanta and South Florida.
Angela's ancestors were involved in the bloody, post-emancipation labor revolt known as the Fireburn. During this time, current day US Virgin Islands were owned by Denmark and were known as the Danish West Indies. The Fireburn occurred on the island of St. Croix in the 1800's and was instrumental in labor laws being changed. This event, though pivotal in the US Virgin Islands, is little known outside the Territories. Angela is determined to change that, as she believes that it is a story worth telling. Angela's focus has resulted in a #1 best selling book "Fireburn the Screenplay" and an award winning children's;book "James and the Fireburn." She and her producer, Marjorie Tingle, brought the concept to award-winning director, Joel Fendelman, and the result is the powerful Fireburn documentary.
It is Angela's hope that her products bring knowledge of the Virgin Islands beyond its beautiful beaches and famous rum and reveals the rich history and resiliency of the people of the US Virgin Islands.
