Born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, one of the most segregated cities in America, Angel writes with a purpose. The Atlanta-based storyteller creates drama and horror to expose the ills of racism, elevate consciousness and heal trauma. Her work champions the unique perspective of women and people of color. She is a 2023 Stowe Story Labs Feature Campus Alumni and one of ten writers to top The Black List’s Inaugural Georgia List. Collectively, her screenplays have earned placements in over 30 film festivals, including Oscar-qualifying Atlanta Film Festival and Austin Film Festival. Angel is a graduate of Marquette University where she double majored in English Language and Literature as well as African American Studies. In her spare time, she likes to sing and write her own songs.
