A new Perspective

It’s when I listening to music, I don’t remember which one… All I remember is
there was a piano in it and it reminded me of “Hatchi” film directed by Lasse Hallström
with Richard Gere, and from there an idea to start sprouting.
On my way home I was greeted, as I do every day, with a big “snoring” of my
cat and that’s when it clicked. The link between a human and an animal is really strong, it’s
a true bond of sincere love. I see it around me, whether it be dog or cat, many
people need these little beasts to feel good. That’s where I got the idea to
do “A New Look”.
It’s a story that’s almost real and it’s a real friendship relationship between my brother and
my cat “Whisky”. My brother is someone withdrawn but incredibly sweet and kind, the
animals adore him and he confides more to them than to us. The look that one has on oneself and often traitor, one
is pessimistic, we don’t love each other… But an animal’s gaze at his master, his best friend,
is different, he is sincere, without judgment. That’s why we also need them, in addition
to be of good companion they also have the only ones who do not judge us, who love us and who we
give another look at ourselves.
My brother spends time escaping on his computer, on his phone etc., I won’t blame him
for that, I was the same at his age. But it is true that although it helps to escape, networks
social, internet gives only a lot of distorted images of others and of oneself. I do not have in
my short film of moralizing message on internet and social networks, loneliness exists
everywhere. The only thing I find sad is that with this kind of networks we can have a
biased and negative perception of oneself. The main message here is the perception of oneself which
can change thanks to a sincere love, here symbolized by an animal. They can help us to
to regain self-confidence, to come out of his shell.
