Andrej (“Andy”) Kasana is an undergraduate student at Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts, The New School (class of ‘26), pursuing a BFA in Screen Studies and Film Production. Born and raised in Bratislava, Slovakia, he started crewing on independent music video sets at age 17. He has since worked both as a PA and AD on student and professional film sets, and has written/directed several short films, including the experimental documentary “Hold Still” (MOMI Marvels of Media 2025 festival submission; Film Diary NYC 2024 festival submission). He is a Yale Young Global Scholar (2022) and holds a certificate from the NYU Tisch Film & TV Industry Essentials course (2023). Besides film, he enjoys reading Ocean Vuong poetry and perusing local flea markets in Brooklyn.
