And then we touch
We’re part of an intimate scene between two pupplayers in a living room. The close-up cinematography shows the soft touches and playful actions of two men dressed as dogs. „And then we touch“ opens a fascinating space between the human and the non-human and confronts us with our need for sensuality, touch and playfulness as human animals.

Benjamin Egger is a visual artist and deals with the relationship between human and non-human animals. He currently lives and works in Zurich. He studied transdisciplinarity and fine arts at the Zurich University of the Arts and the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem.
More than two years ago, I first witnessed the beauty of pupplayers interacting with each other: Resting their head on another puppy’s leg, cuddling, having an arm put around the other’s shoulder. This subtle and intuitive way of touching and being together struck me the most. I started to interview pupplayers to gain more knowledge about this fetish, which lead to this movie. People often find pupplay freaky. I didn’t want to make a movie showing pupplay as something alienating. I was looking for a form that emphasizes the moment of innocence and transformation, which is inherently part of the playful setting of humans dressing and acting as dogs.
