Andrew L. Yarrow is a journalist, historian, and professor at George Mason University. He has written six books, including LOOK: How a Highly Influential Magazine Helped Define Mid-20th-Century America, Man Out: Men on the Sidelines of American Life, Measuring America: How Economic Growth Came to Define American Greatness, and Forgive Us Our Debts. He was a reporter for The New York Times, a speechwriter in the Clinton Administration, a professor at American University, and has been affiliated with several Washington think tanks, including the Brookings Institution. He has written for many major media and is directing a documentary film about LOOK. He also has worked or consulted for Public Agenda, Oxfam, the World Bank, UNICEF, the U.S. Department of Education, and the U.S. Export-Import Bank. He lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
