Andrew Rodriquez is a Latino military veteran and award winning filmmaker based in Los Angeles, California. He is a cum laude graduate from the School of Cinema, at San Francisco State University.
“Once you have been in war, you realize life is to short not to follow your dreams.” – Andrew Rodriquez
After five years of service in the U.S. Navy, he left in 2012 as a non-commission officer and decorated combat war veteran to pursue his life passion as a filmmaker. Service in the military took him around the globe, inevitably learning technical skills, as well as unique life skills and experiences you cannot find in books that have enriched his gift of storytelling.
Andrew is an advocate for helping people with dyslexia realize their learning disability is a gift. Having struggled with dyslexia most of his life, it wasn’t until he was an adult that he fully understood the benefits and its contribution to creativity. He continues to explore the broad spectrum of cinema; studying and creating works in documentary, experimental, fiction narrative, and interactive cinema.
