And They Will Be Eternal

Some time ago I decided not to make any more synopsis of my films.
I want people to come not knowing what they're going to see.
Won't be a trailer either - they're deceitful
and they never really reflect
the spirit of the film.

Thanks for understanding.

Director Biography - Raúl Perrone

Born in Ituzaingó, Argentina, where he always has lived and filmed, with no necessity to move from there not even to recreate a jungle or a post-industrial apocalyptic world. He has directed and produced more than 60 films in an absolutely independent way, with success among the critics and receiving Best Director / Best Film awards in prestigious festivals both locally and internationally.
In 2015, Viennale made him a tribute called THE MAN FROM ITUZAINGÓ - THE LAST INDEPENDENT, and retrospectives have been made in important festivals and museums like MoMA, Mexico's Cineteca and Oxford University.
He directs the Ituzaingó International Film Festival, and since 20 years ago the city workshop "Come and make your film".
Perrone is one of the most emblematic figures in the film world.

Director Statement

In my (long) career I always come back to the young - SINCE THE P3ND3JO5 TRILOGY - (among several others) I always carried the task of showing them in their harsh reality -and in their own environment-, if I don't believe in what I'm telling - no one will.
When I proposed myself to make this film I had a really clear image of what I wanted to tell - I am really bothered about how their lives get banalized in news reports - with stupid music in the background and showing them as only violent people (they're not nuns either) but I'm still interested in showing them - how they walk - how they talk - what are their desires and how they try to get out -
THIS IS WHAT MOST INTERESTS ME IN THIS PARTICULAR FILM, to follow 3 or 4 young people with never-easy lives - but in a holiday colony - like many other bxys.
Doing sports - swimming - playing soccer, infatuations not reciprocated and that stuff - WHICH IS NOT WHAT THEY'RE SHOWING ABOUT THEM - BUT NOT LOSING SIGHT OF WHAT THEY DID AND WHAT THEY ARE. GIVING THEM DIGNITY.
MAKE A FILM THAT IS RAW TOO,
BUT NOT LEAVING POETRY ASIDE.
Society doesn't stop to think what happens with these youngsters and that worries me.
I'm trying to show a part of life that many don't want to see.
