Director Biography - Earl Hendrix Soliman Reyes

One of the filmmakers of Ilustrado Productions, a local film community in Ozamiz City, Earl Hendrix Reyes, also known as Drix Reyes was an Assistant Cinematographer of the film Redempsyon which garnered recognition and awards from Salamindanaw, Gawad Urian, Mindanao Film Festival, and FACINE - San Francisco USA. He is also the visual effects editor and the Assistant Director of 3021 which reached Cinema One Originals, Mindanao Film Festival, Festival de Cine Paz, Cinemagis, Cinema Rehiyon, and Davao Ngilngig Festival. He was also the assistant director of Baslayan which reaped awards from Cinemagis and participated in Mindanao Film Festival and Trespas which won Best Editing and Best Mindanao Film during the Festival de Cine Paz Mindnanao last 2019. He wrote and directed Sumay which won best film during cineANIMO 3 and was screened in Cineka5imanwa and One La Salle Film Festival, Passion of Cries which was the Best Film during La Salle University’s Sinegendaw Film Festival, Best Film Gold during cineANIMO 4, 2nd during Cinemagis 11, and an official selection of Cinema Rehiyon 11, and his latest film And Then There’s One which premiered at Cinema Rehiyon 13. He is also a five-time delegate of Cinema Rehiyon - Philippines' largest, non-competitive, regional film festival. He also loves to write poems as leisure.

And Then There’s One talks about how the pandemic really affected the stability and mental health of the minorities. This highlights how some cope up inexplicably and they are able to meet versions of themselves just to get through their deepest fears, traumas, struggles, and hurdles.
