Amorf

As Sakarya (in Türkiye), known for its nature and natural beauties, is filled with construction sites, it is seen that the areas considered as green have decreased. In this direction, great dangers await the people of the region for the future. In the applied photography project, the emphasis is not on an analysis or analysis of the past, but on a foresight for the future by photographing the present.

The word amorphous means shapeless or detached from its own structure. It was aimed to draw attention by realistically reproducing the problems by applying digital manipulation technique to the photographs taken. Photographs were taken in line with the issues observed as a problem in the city of Sakarya. After a 6-month observation period, wide-angle and Flycam (Drone) were generally preferred for the shots that lasted for about 2 months. Exaggeration by duplicating it over a single frame in the digital environment was preferred to strengthen the narrative and the message.

The photography project called Amorf, on the other hand, is initially limited to the problems identified in Sakarya, Türkiye. Basic problems such as construction areas, rental lands, unplanned urbanization, garbage, life and death patterns, consumption problem, radiation problem, destruction of natural habitats were the subjects of study.
