Director Statement

I was born in a country that had been mired in armed conflict for more than 50 years.
Although things have changed, the footprint of the war is indelible. All of this inspired me to create Amnesty from the Heart, a story of love, war, passion and, above all, forgiveness.
The main character of the short film, Angelica, was a victim of that war. Angelica lived through the horrors of war while she met the love of her life. That love / hate relationship allowed me to create the Angelica character arc. The misery of the character becomes sympathy.
For me, this short film is the opportunity to show a reality of my country but it also allows me to show how beautiful life is and how unexpected life can be.
