The film is an attempt to propagate humanitarian view. Rahim Khan Pathan, a retired army soldier lives in a village with his wife Asma and son Aman. His childhood friend Rambhau lives in a nearby village. Both Ram and Rahim are known, in the vicinity, for their friendship that transcends the traditional barrier of religion. Rahim’s son Aman is very fond of cow. He insists his father to purchase a cow. Rahim comes to know that his friend Rambhau, on the backdrop of draught and financial crisis wish to sale his cow. Rahim’s wife, hearing of mob lynching incidents being narrated in the television news, pleads him to not purchase a cow. Rahim being a retired army soldier has unfaltering faith in secularism and tolerance. He neglects his wife’s plea and determines to purchase the cow from Rambhau. He goes to bring cow with his son to Rambhau’s village. On their way back with a cow through the jungle, they are lynched by ruffians sent by a renowned politician. Director Statement

Since my childhood, spent in rural part of Maharashtra, India, cinema has always eluded my preference over anything. I was so passionate that I would see films in touring talkies and On VCR's throughout night, particularly during village fares and during Ganpati and Navratri festivals celebrated in India. Because these were the only days when we could feast ourselves with entertaining Bollywood films. Film for me was merely a mesmerizing medium of entertainment. During my journey as a post-graduate student in Hindi Literature and Ph.D. scholar in cinema studies that it dawned upon me that film as a medium could express the concerns and issues related to human life and society in the most powerful way. It is in this context that i started using films as a medium to bring about social awareness on issues as varied as women empowerment, village cleanliness, superstition eradication, poverty, covid-19 precautions etc. by making short films. All this while the incidents of mob lynching being narrated in news caught my attention. I was puzzled and saddened by the fact that mob kills a person without any kind of interrogation. However, they remain unaware about the sufferings of a family whose bread winner is killed in such incidents. Therefore, i decided to make this film to depict how a mis-understanding leads to incidents of mob lynching and how such killings destroy values of universal brotherhood, tolerance and respect for each other. I hope that my film would bring an awareness among the people and stimulate their humanitarian attitude towards people of varied backgrounds..
