Director Statement

It would've been too easy for me, working as both writer and director, to give the main character a clear solution to his problem, and it would've been easier to make the problem crystal clear to him. However, the main challenge was to put the character in such a moral and emotional dilemma that no matter what decision he would make, there would’ve been consequences.

To choose between what is right and what we want is never an easy decision, not when they’re not the same thing. I could’ve ignored the morality of the situation and have him follow his heart, or the other way around.

I found it more interesting to have the character craving both things, which are represented in two beautiful women. Neither of them are aware of what is happening in his mind, they just care for him in the most truthful and honest way possible, and want to see him happy.

I think we’ve all faced this kind of dilemma in our lives at least once, and it’s never easy to do what’s best without searching within ourselves and evaluate what will bring us peace.

That’s what this film is about, looking deep inside of our mind, our heart, our feelings, and finally do what we think it’s best. We do not always make the best decision, but we at least find the courage to make one.
