Mark Mockett served in the Royal Navy before becoming a filmmaker. He worked for 14 years as an engineer, editor and producer for the BBC in London and DC.
He now lives in LA and specializes in films about maritime history.
For most people, USS Iowa, America's last battleship suddenly appeared on the LA waterfront. This film reveals the untold story of how much work and heartache actually went into rescuing the ship. The aim is to raise awareness of the importance of history and veterans' stories to influence future generations.
