Writer Biography - Ross Dumond Macartney

Born in Springfield, MA; the youngest of three older siblings. The son of a Tuck businessman and a world history teacher spent most of his childhood bouncing around states like South Dakota and Nebraska; before falling in love with storytelling. Arthur Miller, John Steinbeck, Samuel "Mark Twain" Clemens, and Edgar Allen Poe are a few of my strongest influences.

Writer Statement

I believe that a great movie is better than the best book. And I think that a great film is less about art and more of a scientific method to take you to a fifth dimension. My goal in my writing is to create screenplays with dense backstories and character development that feel like great American literature.
