"Carpinteiros da Amazônia" (Amazonian Carpenters) is a documentary that delves into the rich tradition of riverine carpentry, an ancestral craft with over 7,000 years of history, which remains the foundation of many architectural projects even in the face of technological advancements. In the Amazon, however, this ancient art is at risk of disappearing, particularly among communities deeply connected to nature.

The film also addresses the contemporary challenges faced by Amazonian carpentry, such as the predatory exploitation of wood, the growing shift toward masonry constructions, and the declining value of the craft among younger generations.
