Hi, my name is Amanda Marino. Born and raised in Monmouth County, NJ, I graduated Montclair State University back in 2021 with a degree in theatre.
While I was in college, I made it my goal to not just be stuck in theatre world and learn about others areas of the arts including film. I can still remember my first film set like it was yesterday. I was a nervous freshman overacting on camera because I didn’t know it was different from theatre acting. Nonetheless, it was an important day because that is when I truly discovered film.
Working on sets throughout college, inspired me so much that I finally decided to tackle my first film. That’s When the Music Died is my directorial and writing for the screen debut and I'm so excited to finally share this short film with the world.
Besides on set experience, I haven’t had any formal film training, but I’m looking to continue building my knowledge in the film world and looking to continue networking with filmmakers.
