Alyson Muzila is an actor, writer, host and producer based in New England. She has performed in numerous films, TV shows and commercials, as well as numerous onstage productions. She enjoys a wide range of work from creating sketch comedy and performing improv, to emceeing events and hosting news shows.
In 2023, Alyson created a local television show called "Dishin' It with Susan & Mickey." Purely improvised, the show invites on local guests and mixes Alyson's Minnesota culture with the Boston humor of local actor Brian J. McDonald (of Scotch, Please). She continues to create content on IG and FB as Susan In the Van (@susan.in.the.van).
Alyson’s film and television acting credits include the short film Scotch, Please, in which she wrote, produced, and starred. In 2021, She was cast as a principal role in five independent films, including Penny, (by award-winning writer/director Rachel Thomas), Sunshine, PAL, and Mr. Roy’s Bicycle Repair Shop.
In 2019, Alyson co-created The Wes-TEN, a local news show that she hosts on the Weston Media Center’s cable channel. With over 27 episodes that include in-studio desk reporting and on-location interviews. The Wes-TEN has become a popular show both locally and online with followers from around the country.
Stage performances include Theresa in the British farce How the Other Half Loves, various roles in the musicals A Christmas Carol, Miracle on 34th Street, and Bye, Bye Birdie at the Weston Friendly Society, and independent collaborations such as Butter, performed at The Burren Backroom in Somerville, MA.
Raised in Wyoming but born in Minnesota, Alyson has mastered the Midwestern accent as seen in her character, “Susan”, whose cooking videos can be found on Alyson's YouTube channel. She is an avid horseback rider and loves yoga, baking, dance, and parenting her four children. Alyson is an active volunteer in her town and sits on various national and Boston-area boards where she advocates for sustainability, autism awareness and neurodiversity acceptance, as well as issues surrounding diversity, equity and inclusion.
Alyson currently trains with Rachel Bailit of the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute, Los Angeles and actor James DuMont, among others. She is a proud union member of SAG-AFTRA.
