Alyona Futsur is a film director, photographer, video artist, and writer. She started her relationship with video in 2014 when she directed her first dance clip. In 2017 she directed her first short movie, StandArt, shot on iPhone.
In June 2019, she produced her second short film, Homo Sapiens 2019, a short story on the socialization of modern man, awarded at the Kosice International Monthly Film Festival and Prague International Monthly Film Festival. In 2020, she produced her third short film, Melting Dream: a surreal artwork depicting the global problem of the glaciers melting that was screened at eco-festival “Keep mum with mouth full of water” in Chisinau, Moldova in 2021.
In 2021 and 2022, Alyona started exploring experimental and video art. In these years, The Beauty of the Transformation and She Said came out.
Alyona's recent short film "SACRO," co-directed with Giovanni Santarelli in 2022, was selected to be included in the Pan Eros Film Festival, the part of Seattle Film Festival. The film will be screened in Seattle between 28 April and 5 May 2022.
