Emma Hillebrecht (she/her) is a young filmmaker currently attending Boston University. Originally from New Jersey, she has been making films for over a decade - many of which involve relationships or queerness in some capacity.
As a woman, something I’ve personally had to wrestle with is finding the balance between things I can do for myself to personally feel more beautiful while accepting there are some things I cannot change about my body. With Aluminum Assets, I wanted to tell a story about someone who wants to look like someone else but ultimately embraces what is unique about her - that she is made of tin foil - to define womanhood for herself.
